Les lauréats des SABC Crown Gospel Awards 2021 ont été annoncés au Playhouse Theatre de Durban, en Afrique du Sud, le 12 novembre.
Takie Ndou a remporté deux prix dans les catégories Meilleur album gospel et Meilleur auteur-compositeur gospel. Le prix du meilleur nouvel artiste gospel a été décerné à Xolly Mncwango tandis qu’Ayanda Ntanzi et Thobekile Mkhwanazi ont été annoncés vainqueurs dans les catégories Meilleur artiste gospel masculin et Meilleure artiste gospel féminin, respectivement.
La Zimbabwéenne Janet Manyowa est sortie gagnante dans la catégorie Best of Africa Gospel contre Tsepo Lesole (Botswana), Cross Ugo 2v (Nigeria) et le ministre Michael Mahendere (Zimbabwe).

Grâce aux Crown Gospel Music Awards, nous avons non seulement pu célébrer les artistes, mais nous avons également créé une plate-forme où les musiciens peuvent être reconnus pour leur talent donné par Dieu », a déclaré la fondatrice et productrice exécutive des SABC Crown Gospel Awards, Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule.
Les lignes de vote restent ouvertes dans les catégories suivantes, y compris la meilleure chanson gospel, le meilleur artiste gospel, la meilleure Amazon, la meilleure émission de gospel de radio communautaire et la meilleure émission de gospel de radio commerciale/PBS. Le public peut voter pour ses artistes préférés en envoyant des codes de catégorie (exemple : Crown00) au 34069 et les gagnants seront annoncés le 20 novembre.
